I’m pretty sure this is not Joplin. In fact I’m confident this is not Joplin. This picture looks to be set early 1900s. There has never been that many tall buildings that close together/in a row in downtown Joplin. In fact I’m counting at least 4 building 5+ stories in a row. None of the buildings in this image are the Connor, The Keystone, the Newman Building, the Frisco, or The Christman Building. I expect better vetting rom this website. I’ve come to appreciate its quality — just because someone says its Joplin, does not make it so.
Yeah, that was what I thought, too. Doesn’t match up with any building configuration I know of in downtown Joplin.
I don’t think this is Joplin either.
